Mr and Mrs Beckham, as I’m sure you know by now, have named the newest addition to their family ‘Harper Seven’ Beckham.
The general opinion seems to be that it’s a pretty unusual name for an English girl, or indeed for any human being regardless of sex or nationality. Let’s be honest though, wouldn’t it have been more of a shock it they’d called her ‘Deborah’ or ‘Kate’?
It’s fairly obvious where the Seven comes from if you’re into football, but, for the sake of speculation, could this episode of Seinfeld have inspired the Beckham’s latest baby name?
The Metro website states:
“Some have speculated that the name is a tribute to To Kill A Mockingbird author Harper Lee.
With Seven the name of the 1995 thriller starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, Harper Seven has prompted a new online game: Choose your Beckham baby name.
To find your Beckham name, choose the first name of your favourite author and your favourite Brad Pitt film.
So if you’re a big fan of Hemingway and liked Pitt’s portrayal of Achilles your name would be Ernest Troy.“

Here’s the story behind the Seinfeld baby:
And, whilst you won’t find any Harper Seven’s here, you will find three Roland Sevenhundred’s at Potts Print (UK).
