Stop Press! Miracle Fish Discovered in IT Department

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It’s Miracle Fish. Or is it…

It was a typical morning at Potts Print (UK), in many respects. The printers were printing, the finishers were finishing, the executives were parking their Audis. But, in the IT department things were far from normal.

What was only yesterday a simple plastic vessel for catching the dripping water from an air conditioning unit, became the home of a new addition to the Potts family. Today, a miracle has come to Cramlington.

At least, that’s the most likely explanation. Isn’t it?

Other theories include, ‘Somebody put it there’. But that seems far fetched to me.

Chief suspects in the ‘Somebody put it there’ case are: Brad Carlson (Print Finishing Team), who is a known tropical fish keeper and whose Facebook wall is full of fishy facts, and Ian Bensley (Business Development Manager) who was spotted acting suspiciously at the scene earlier this morning.

Whatever the truth turns out to be, we must not forget that a fish’s life is at stake. Andrew James (IT Genius) was the discoverer of the possibly devine being, and, admirably, he has been nothing less than a foster carer while a new owner was being found.

The man who stepped up to the responsibility of parenthood was Michael Blake (Operations Team). In an emotional but necessary handing over ceremony, Andrew released Miracle Fish, or Splash as he is now known, to the proud father.

Michael will introduce Splash to his new home later today, and their colleagues at Potts Print (UK) wish them well in their new life together.

The End.
