Dick Whittington Opens at Customs House South Shields

Customs House Pantomime 2012

Pantomime season has begun at The Customs House in South Shields. This year’s story is Dick Whittington, and tickets are on sale at www.customshouse.co.uk now.

This will be the last year that Bob Stott will play Dame Dotty, so she’s bound to go out with a bang!

Bob says“What’s brilliant about panto is that we’re all a big family and the audience becomes part of that, as we all celebrate Christmas together. I’m going to miss Dotty, all the gang and most of all our wonderful audience. But this time next year I can sit amongst them and enjoy the show from a whole new perspective.”

Executive Director of The Customs House, Ray Spencer MBE, will play Tommy in the show.

Ray says… “This year promises the same old formula but there’s going to be a few new things in there as well, and for the first time we’re going to have a pre-recorded animation which will see me and Bob under the sea. With almost half of this year’s tickets sold, if you want to see for yourself and Bob’s last panto you’ll have to get your tickets fast!”

Potts Print (UK) has once again joined other local businesses in sponsoring the pantomime, and you’ll be able to see our Paul Shriek designed dress during the show.

So, while it’s goodbye to Dame Dotty, it’s hello to Swedish Panto! Read all about The Customs House pantomime workshop in Gothenburg at: http://itv.co/Rnstyo
